The Crescent Committee of Canada received several reliable reports of the new crescent moon sighting for the month of Safar 1439 on the evening of Friday October 2oth 2017 (29th Muharram). In particular from our observers in Barbados, Virginia, California and Toronto. Therefore the month of Muharram ends and the 1st of Safar is on Saturday 21st of October, 2017.
