The Crescent Committee of Canada received reliable reports of the new crescent moon sighting for the month of Safar 1440 on the evening of Tuesday October 9th 2018 (29th Muharram). In particular from California and Florida. Therefore the month of Muharram ends and the 1st of Safar is on Wednesday 10th of October, 2018.
